Keyword management basics

Manage keywords across campaigns with tools for adding, modifying, and optimizing.

Updated over a week ago

Keywords are essential for optimizing ad campaigns, as they determine when and where your ads appear to online users. In Fluency, you have full control over keywords, allowing you to add, remove, pause, and enable them within your Blueprints, accounts, campaigns, and ad groups. To make this process more efficient, we offer two power tools: Bulk Modify for making changes to keywords across multiple accounts—such as replacing text, adjusting bids, and changing match types—and Keyword Recommendations for optimizing keyword performance. Additionally, you can keep an eye on keywords notifications for valuable suggestions.

Adding keywords to a Blueprint

To add keywords to one or more accounts linked to a Blueprint:

  1. Go to Blueprints in the top menu.

  2. Click on a Blueprint in the list—then a Search campaign and an ad group.

  3. Open the Keywords section.

  4. Click + Keyword and enter the keyword phrase. You can use account tags such as [account.name][account.city].

  5. (Optional) Add an override bid.

  6. Select the match types you want for the keyword (B for Broad, P for Phrase, E for Exact).

  7. To remove a keyword, click the trashcan icon.

  8. Click Save Changes.

Note: For adding multiple keywords at once to a Blueprint, use Bulk Edit. You can paste a block of text and specify the match type using a prefix (e.g., B for Broad, BP for Broad and Phrase, etc.).

Example:

B [inventory.Year]

BP [bicycles]
