Managing keyword lists

Manage negative keyword lists to ensure consistent targeting and save time.

Keyword lists allow you to easily manage negative keyword lists in Blueprints and apply them to multiple ad campaigns, in a single account or multiple accounts. This ensures that your keyword targeting remains consistent while saving you time on manual entry for each campaign.


Creating and applying keyword lists in Blueprints

  1. Go to Blueprints in the top menu.

  2. Select a Blueprint from the list.

  3. Expand open the Settings & Configuration section.

  4. Select the Blueprint Keyword Lists tab.

  5. If creating a keyword list for the first time, click Add one now? Otherwise, click + Add New List.

  6. Enter a Name for the keyword list. Note: Take note of what you name it—you'll need the exact name later on in these directions.

  7. Add your list of negative keywords. Note: Follow partner syntax for match types, but use pipes |keyword| instead of square brackets [keyword] for exact match negatives.

  8. Click Save Changes to continue.

  9. Select a Search campaign within the Blueprint to apply the keyword list.

  10. Expand open the Targeting & Negative Keywords dropdown for the campaign.

  11. Type or paste in the exact name of your keyword list into the field Campaign Keyword Lists.

  12. Click Save Changes.


Apply keywords lists to campaigns in Manage

  1. Go to Manage in the top menu.

  2. Click on an account in the list, and then a campaign.

  3. Click Campaign Settings in the top-right, and then the Negative Keywords tab.

  4. Select Add Keyword Lists.

  5. Choose the keyword list you want to apply to the campaign.

  6. Click Save.
