Detecting and resolving unusual account configurations

Manage anomalies with Fluency's automated detection features.

Updated over 5 months ago

Managing multiple accounts can lead to oversights, but with anomaly detection, identifying irregularities becomes effortless. The Fluency platform automatically scans for unusual configurations, saving you valuable time in pinpointing issues within your accounts. Use anomaly detection to highlight specific problems, such as accounts with manual budget holds, budgets lacking pacing strategies, and fields that have been manually locked.

Where to find anomalies

  1. Go to Notifications in the top menu.

  2. Select the Anomalies tab.

  3. Select Anomaly or Account to organize by anomaly type or by account.

  4. Select a type or account from the list to view a set of anomalies, including the account impacted, the monthly budget, a description of the anomaly, and supported actions.

Common anomalies and how to resolve them

Once you've identified an anomaly, resolving it is straightforward. Each anomaly type has a corresponding supported action. Select your desired action from the "Supported Actions" column in the list of anomalies. Here are common anomalies and their corresponding supported actions:

  • Accounts without overspend protection > Add Overspend Protection

  • Accounts with budget on manual hold > Remove Hold

  • Accounts with partially managed spend > Manage Spend

  • Budgets with unusual pacing strategies > Set EVEN Pacing Strategy

  • Locked campaign fields managed by a Blueprint > Unlock Fields

  • Locked ad group fields managed by a Blueprint > Unlock Fields

  • Locked keyword fields managed by a Blueprint > Unlock Fields
