Release notes for May 2025

Updated this week

We publish a new edition of release notes monthly to introduce platform features, bug fixes, etc.

Fluency Academy soft launch

Fluency Academy offers self-paced courses to help you learn the Fluency platform and build your skills. If you are an existing client—and not currently working with the Fluency Implementation team—feel free to self-register on the Fluency Academy login page:

  1. Select Register.

  2. Complete the required fields, and enter the branch code LEARN.

  3. Accept the terms and conditions.

  4. Click Submit.

Once submitted, a Fluency team member will review your registration request. At that point, you'll receive an email with instructions to log in and start learning. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder or contact us at [email protected]. View our Fluency Academy quick start guide for more information.

Note: If you are currently working with the Fluency Implementation team, reach out to your Advertising Architect to get registered in Fluency Academy.

OneDrive/SharePoint data sources

You can now set up OneDrive/SharePoint data sources. Cloud storage data sources let you connect external file storage services—like Google Drive and OneDrive—to Fluency. This allows you to import creative assets and media directly into your campaigns without needing to upload them manually.

  1. Go to Settings & Tools (gear icon) in the left menu.

  2. Select Platform Integrations.

  3. Click OneDrive/SharePoint and then Connect.

  4. Identify the SharePoint site name.

  5. In the left menu, go to Manage > Accounts or Automate > Data Sources.

  6. Set up filtering rules.

  7. Save the data source.

Overspend protection text update

Some of the text in the budget pacing automation settings has been updated. While the functionality remains the same, this update helps bring clarity to the functionality:

  • Enable Budget Overspend Protection: Previously labeled Pause Campaigns When Exhausted. When enabled and the budget is exhausted, all linked campaigns are paused.

  • Receive Paused Campaign Alerts: Previously labeled Notify When Paused. You'll receive an email when campaigns linked to the budget are paused. To enable the email:

    1. Go to Settings & Tools (gear icon) in the left menu.

    2. Select Customer Info.

    3. Click the + under System Messaging.

    4. Select Budget Manager Status Email.

    5. Enter your email address, or add multiple email addresses separated by a comma.

    6. Click Save.

Muse user feedback and user forum

Muse automatically replies to your User Forum posts with suggested Help Center articles while you wait for a response from the Fluency team. These replies are collapsed by default, but you can expand them by clicking the Response From Muse AI dropdown.

You can now also provide feedback on your Muse responses by clicking the thumbs up or thumbs down icon.

Ad group device metrics in Data Explorer

You can now view ad group device metrics in Data Explorer. Previously, this was only available for Google Ads but now is available for Google, Microsoft, and Facebook. Data Explorer began collecting data mid-May, so historical data won't be available.

  1. Go to Manage (globe icon) in the left menu.

  2. Select Accounts.

  3. Check the box(es) for one or more accounts in the list.

  4. Click Data Explorer in the bulk edit menu.

  5. Select a date range by clicking on the dates (e.g., May 19, 2025 - May 25, 2025), and click Apply to confirm.

  6. Click the dropdown to change the Report Type to Device Metrics.

  7. Select Ad Group and Device under Commonly Used.

  8. Click Load.

Advanced Download column header update

Advanced Download allows you to use an .xlsx file to make changes in bulk to a campaign. We've updated some of the column headers to help you understand what's needed to create new elements, which elements are able to be edited, and which elements are not editable.

  • Columns with purple headers are editable.

  • Columns with non-italicized green headers are editable.

  • Columns with italicized headers are required for new element creation and are not editable post-creation.

  • Columns with white headers are not editable and not able to be created, so do not make any changes to those columns.
