Connect a Fluency account to a verified Google My Business profile.

Updated over a week ago

To use Google vehicle ads, location extensions, and local campaigns with Fluency, you need to connect an account in Fluency to a verified Google My Business (GMB) profile. Here are the benefits:

  • Automatic detection of GMB changes. If you make changes to your GMB profile, Fluency will auto-detect them each night. For faster updates, just click the "Refresh Config Data" button.

  • Easy location extension creation. Connecting a GMB profile will create a location extension in your Google Ads account for all campaigns.

How to link an account to GMB

  1. If you haven't already done so, create a GMB business profile for each location. Customer or account admins can create profiles on the Google Business Profile Manager website. Tip: To streamline management, consider creating a single Google Business Profile Manager to link and manage multiple GMB profiles.

  2. Grant Fluency access to GMB account(s) by following the Google OAuth flow. Note: Make sure to sign in to Google as a user with admin access to the relevant GMB profiles or Profile Manager.

  3. Link the GMB profile(s) to the appropriate Fluency account(s):

    • Option #1: Enable Google My Business Account Auto-Linking under Other Settings (runs hourly).

    • Option #2: Manually link the GMB profiles via the Google My Business Status column. Note: The business address configured in the GMB profile should match the Fluency account's business address.

  4. Verify the GMB profiles, if needed. Do this if you see Unverified in the account's settings and notifications under System Info & Alerts > Linked Accounts. Click the Fluency link to the GMB businesses page and follow the steps to verify and claim a business.
