Troubleshooting unresolved tags prior to launch

Resolve tags to ensure accurate ad creation.

Updated over a month ago

Unresolved tags occur when Fluency is unable to find (or resolve) data connected to a tag in a Blueprint. All tags for an account must be resolved (i.e., matched to a tag) for the advertising to be generated accurately.

Finding unresolved tags

When launching a Blueprint on an account, unresolved tags appear as alerts during launch review. Click on an alert in Fluency to see the specific unresolved tag(s).

Troubleshooting unresolved tags

Unresolved tags indicate that a tag may be incorrectly written or does not exist for an account. Occasionally, they can result from a simple typo. Follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check that the tag is connected to your Blueprint. Go to Manage > Select an Account > Settings > Blueprints > Account Data.

  2. Check that the unresolved tag exists for the account.

  3. Edit existing tags, add new tags, and add/update account data, such as an inventory feed.

  4. Use Tag Tester to troubleshoot unresolved tags.

Note: Use fall throughs when data isn't supposed to be present on a particular account.
