Watching accounts outside your assigned scope

Monitoring others' accounts can help with alignment and collaboration.

Updated over 6 months ago

"Watching" an account outside of your assigned scope allows you to view the account's metrics and notifications, leading to better collaboration, supervision, alignment, and transparency across departments. For example, a manager may want to "watch" at-risk accounts managed by their team. Or, a sales rep may want to "watch" the performance of accounts they've recently sold. You can watch an account using the "Watch/Unwatch" tool in the bulk edit menu for accounts.

Selecting accounts to watch or unwatch

  1. Click the Settings & Tools gear icon in the top menu.

  2. Select Accounts in the dropdown.

  3. Check the box for the accounts you want to watch.

  4. In the blue bulk edit menu, click Watch/Unwatch.

  5. Choose Watch Selected Accounts or Unwatch Selected Accounts in the dropdown.

  6. Verify the "watch" status of the account under the Watched column.

  7. Close the bulk edit menu by clicking the X icon.

Filtering watched accounts

You can narrow down the list of accounts you see to only the accounts you're watching (or, for a broader view, both accounts you're watching and accounts you're assigned to).

  1. Click the Settings & Tools gear icon in the top menu.

  2. Select Accounts in the dropdown.

  3. Click Showing All Accounts in the filter field.

  4. Select Assigned and Watched or Watched to filter which accounts show up in the list.
