Copy and paste campaigns with Blueprint snippets

Create reusable Blueprint campaigns for efficient campaign management and customization.

Updated this week

Blueprint snippets allow you to create an advertising campaign once and reuse it across other Blueprints. This eliminates the need to repeatedly add the same campaign to individual Blueprints and provides a centralized place for editing the campaign. Keep in mind that Blueprint snippets themselves don't initiate campaigns; they need to be linked to a Blueprint first.

Creating a Blueprint snippet

  1. Go to Automate (rocket icon) in the left menu.

  2. Select Blueprint Editor.

  3. Click + Blueprint in the left sidebar and then Build from Scratch in the dropdown menu.

  4. In the Basic section, activate the Blueprint Snippet by toggling it on.

  5. Set the other preferences to customize the Blueprint campaign that you want to use as a template for other Blueprints.

  6. Click Save Changes.

Linking a snippet a Blueprint

Once you've created a Blueprint snippet, you can use it as a template for other Blueprints:

  1. Go to Automate (rocket icon) in the left menu.

  2. Select Blueprint Editor.

  3. Select an existing Blueprint you want to apply the snippet to or create a new Blueprint.

  4. Above the Basic section, click Snippet.

  5. From the list of Unlinked Snippets, select the snippet you want to link to the Blueprint.

  6. Click X to exit.

Note: When you link a snippet to a Blueprint, changes to the snippet will also update the Blueprint it is linked to. To do a one-time copy/paste of the Blueprint settings, you can import the snippet.

Note: If you linked the Blueprint snippet while creating a new Blueprint, be sure to finish customizing your Blueprint and select Save Changes.

Importing a snippet to other Blueprints

Instead of linking a snippet to a Blueprint, you can also do a one-time copy/paste of the campaign settings via the import tool. Changes made to the snippet will not update the Blueprint.

  1. Open a Blueprint you want to import the snippet to.

  2. In the Snippet tool, turn on the Campaign Import Mode toggle.

  3. Select a snippet and click Import.
